Kill Hamlet

Kill Hamlet

(interdisciplinary full-length play)

A mid-career playwright named Alexandra comes face to face with her creation, a young heroine named Ophelia, who has been tasked with killing her former lover, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.  Alexandra switches places with Ophelia and is forced into a world in which she seemingly has no control and mad hijinks ensue.  Kill Hamlet is an existential, meta-theatrical Shakespearean fantasia that starts as a playful romp, but turns into a frank exploration of grief and guilt.
