PROTEST

(interdisciplinary short play with devised elements)

Protest is a mash up of testimonial, physical and devised theatre that explores the economic, political and social landscape of an America on the cusp of revolution.  Fusing together jazz, hip-hop, spoken word, dance and world music, the show follows the story of one character as she encounters protestors outside the building where she is interviewing for a job.  Her encounters prompt her to consider how and why protest happens, ultimately resulting in her joining the group of protestors.
