Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Nako Adodoadji is a third culture kid who’s experienced the beauty and struggle of connecting with multiple cultures. She's synthesized that experience into her process of storytelling and collaboration in her work as a writer, director, producer, and actor.

With productions, projects and events staged and produced in New York, Philadelphia, Providence and South Africa, this multidisciplinary artist can create dynamic experiences and moving narrative arcs that both engages and thrills audiences from varying backgrounds.  An Orchard Project Labs Fellow, Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship Finalist, and a nominated artist  for the Mabou Mines Suite Space Artist Residency, she has worked with award winning artists such as the Emmy nominated emerging media artist Lance Weiler, filmmaker Ricky Staub, playwright Ifa Bayeza, choreographer Mercedes Ellington, and experimental theatre artist, Carl Hancock Rux.

Fascinated by the overlapping connections within multiple artistic disciplines, Nako creates work that is highly interdisciplinary, collaborative and visceral, often delving into science fiction, fantasy, magical realism and horror.

She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Wild Crux Productions, an immersive production company that will be launching in 2025.

BFA in Acting (University of the Arts); MFA in Playwriting (Columbia University)
